The Role:
The Project Co-ordination Planning Engineer is responsible for co-ordinating the planning and scheduling of Projects work activities in conjunction with the Facilities Project Engineer/ Project Services Manager and the Greenfield, Subsea and Brownfield Planning Engineers to ensure a consistent and timely delivery of planning support to the project. To co-ordinate overall Project Progress reporting and distribute forecasts and schedules as required.



Position Overview and Responsibilities:



Responsible for producing the overall integrated Level 2 project schedule from the BLP Project P6 planning database in conjunction with the Greenfield, Brownfield and Subsea Planning Engineers and in line with the agreed Work Breakdown Structure.
Responsible for updating the overall Level 1 summary schedule (as required).
Responsible for co-ordinating Project Progress reporting with the Greenfield, Brownfield and Subsea Planning Engineers in line with the agreed Project Reporting requirements.
Responsible for reporting overall Project progress and performance (planned/actual) for monthly reporting and planning input to the monthly report.
Responsible for the identification of trends from project progress reporting where actual progress deviates from planned progress by ‘drilling down’ to the more detailed schedule with the other planning engineers and highlighting ‘problem areas/critical path activities’ to the Facilities Project Engineer and Project Services Manager.
Responsible for overall schedule change management including schedule baselining/revisions to baseline.
Responsible for co-ordination/issue of the overall Contracts/Procurement Status Report in conjunction with information provided by SCM and the Greenfield, Subsea and Brownfield Planning Engineers.
Responsible for the overall Project Management Schedule including Stage gate approval processes throughout all phases of the delivery system, Operations Management, Completions & handover, Start-up management, ‘over-arching’ HSE and Integrity activities, Permits and Consents etc.
Responsible for integration of Wells planning into the overall Project schedule and maintain throughout execution.
Interface planning between Sub-Projects in the P6 database in conjunction with the Greenfield, Subsea and Brownfield Planning Engineers.
Conducting schedule risk analysis exercises on an integrated schedule model at various times during all phases of Project Execution in conjunction with the other Planning Engineers and Facilities Project Management.
Responsible for any changes to the Project WBS in conjunction with the Project Services Manager and other Planning Engineers.
To work in accordance with the company’s project department management system.
Provide technical assistance with the development of the company’s project department management system

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Engineering qualification (degree or equivalent)
Work experience in the Oil & Gas industry including planning of major projects using Primavera P6 software
