The Role:
This post sits within a project team responsible for the management and delivery of a £2bn Oil & Gas Development Project situated West of Shetland in the UKCS. This Project forms a new development hub for the Company and is therefore of high strategic importance.
Key responsibilities include Project planning analysis & validation, progress monitoring & early identification of issues in order that Project Management have the necessary information to base decisions regarding future strategy.


•Primary Responsibility for the delivery of the Commissioning Planning functions for the Subsea Production System, Shetland Gas Plant (SGP) and Pipeline and Umbilicals package. Scope shall include Pre-Comm \ Comm in CONTRACTOR yard and finally at Shetland Gas Plant Site.
•Prepare, update & maintain the relevant Commissioning schedules through contact with Company & Contractors Commissioning Teams.
•Update Company Commissioning schedule for analysis & reporting.
•Participate as required in the integration of Commissioning schedule into the Overall Project schedule.
•Define & maintain the Work Breakdown Structure working closely with the Commissioning Site Leaders.
•Participate as necessary in the preparation of the Project Planning Procedures & ensure adherence to the procedures throughout the duration of the Project.
•Monitor, review & comment on Contractors Planning Procedures, scheduling, progress monitoring, schedule updates & reporting.
•Monitor Contractors scheduling & perform analysis to validate Contractors dates.
•Review Contractors progress measurement system & perform regular reviews of planned v actual progress.
•Prepare planning information for progress reports to highlight planned v actual progress, forecasted completion dates and any areas of concern.
•Analyse & perform ‘what-if’ simulations & propose corrective actions when Project milestones are threatened.
•Attend all necessary meetings (internal & external) related to planning activities. Ensure actions arising from meetings are followed-up through to close-out.
•To review and coordinate current Commissioning, FAT, OTP and leak testing schedules.
•To assist the Commissioning Manager in preparing a detailed monthly review on Commissioning Execution & Progress.
•Participate in Project Control reviews.
•Liaise as necessary with Cost Controllers to ensure consistency of information.
•Develop and maintain highly effective & productive relationships with both the Project team members & Contractor Representatives to ensure all parties are informed & involved in planning matters as appropriate.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
ONC / HND / HNC / Degree in a technical subject and / or appropriate experience.
Experience in Oil & Gas industry including experience in commissioning in large projects.
Knowledge & experience of Primavera Project Management.
Experienced in use of planning tools and techniques.
High level of computer literacy.
