The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, seeks expertise for offshore mega-projects in Canada.

This opportunity is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. First consideration will be given to residents of Newfoundland & Labrador.

The Role:
The Construction Coordinator reports to the project Construction Advisor (CA) and assists in the topsides design, fabrication, construction, and system completions.

• Steward SHE initiatives relating to project construction activities
• Review, evaluation and ongoing monitoring of clients SH&E program as related to project assignments
• Ensure that project QA/QC requirements are met
• Support and provide input to early scope planning and execution coordination efforts with specific focus on brownfield modification requirements
• Review and evaluation of the client’s construction and fabrication cost estimate, plans and assumptions.
• Assist in constructability input to the Project
• Review and comment of the client's design, fabrication and mechanical handling documents.
• Review and provide input to development of contractor’s detailed plans and procedures to complete the work scope
• Provide input to CA for resolution of project construction issues and steward process for implementation of resolutions.
• Ensure timely communication with Construction Advisor on project status and issue resolution at predetermined communication points in the planning process
• Assist in project execution strategy development and POB forecasting
• Coordinate with the clients onshore construction team's work development and performance. Review of Work Packs and Risk Assessments.
• Organize personnel, equipment, materials, and logistics in an effective manner to achieve construction targets and goals.
• Coordinate with the Business Unit logistics and services coordinators to ensure awareness and planning for all project personnel and materials movement as well as vessel and helicopter requirements.
• Monitor progress and quality of onshore fabrications (packages, structures and modules).
• Monitor project's execution plans and provide input to CA on issues / concerns with progress or forecasted plans.
• Provide accurate and timely reports on project planning and execution activities as requested
• Monitor/champion implementation of execution activities and ensure development/review of appropriate plans, procedures, and programs for effective execution
• Utilize best practices, CoMS, and other current Construction systems/tools
• Any other duties as assigned by the CA in support of project activities

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• BS/MS in Engineering or Technical program diploma + Experience.
• Experience in the co-ordination of platform construction and installation activities including turnarounds, work pack / scope development and system completion / turnover.
• Experience in project estimating and planning.
• Good coordination and interface capabilities
• 5+ years industry / project experience

• with business Unit ( Logistics, Maintenance, Operation Technical and Shutdown Team)
• with other concurrent platform projects (e.g. Gas Lift)
• with offshore Construction
