The Company:
Our client, a Major Oil and Gas Operator, is seeking a Project Controls Advisor to join of their projects.

The Role:
The Project Controls Advisor supports project teams in all matters relating to cost and schedule of projects including, but not limited to:
• Establishes, and controls the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) & coding structures for control and integrity of work to be performed as defined by the contract
• Accumulates and compiles accurate cost management data to prepare the project budget and update the progress of the project
• Facilitate integration of project cost and schedule information in collaboration with the teams to produce dependable and consistent monthly reports
• Supports Project teams to develop cost estimates and schedules in accordance with Company cost and schedule estimation processes
• Support Project Teams in managing project changes and full impact assessment to the project scope, cost and schedule in a timely manner
• Develops cost control/scheduling procedures, execution plan, and business plan for a project
• Establishes the project baseline, and tracks all changes to the baseline project schedule, incorporating the project change process as required
• Assures contractor provided schedules for accuracy and logic, incorporates contractor schedules
• Participates in periodic project cost reviews/schedule meetings and supports amending and communicating project cost and schedule changes as appropriate
• Assure all contractor related cost deliverables for accuracy
• Work with contractors to understand identified changes in forecasted total cost, and timing of expenditures
• Provide clear guidance in managing project changes and full impact assessment to the project scope, budget, cost and schedule in a timely manner
• Work with the various project teams to proactively identify deviations from the established project baselines
• Scope, Cost, and Schedule and explain the variances against budget
• Examine commitments, actual expenditure against budget, assess Value of Work Done (VOWD) and prepare monthly updates to forecast final cost
• Document identified deviations, and lead approval process for all changes
• Identifies trends and deviations and recommends corrective courses of action
• Maintains the established project cost/schedule program and prepares periodic schedule/cost status reports
• Other duties as assigned

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A four year degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or Business related with at least 7 years of experience OR 15+ years of experience in project controls for upstream and/or downstream oil and gas projects.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Prior experience in Project Controls on projects is highly desirable. Demonstrated experience with formal project management systems, principles and associated processes, practices, or tools. Broad knowledge of industry and professional cost engineering trends and best practices.
AACE CCC/CCE is preferred but not required.
