The Company:
Our Client is a large Automotive and Commercial Vehicle OEM, with a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering on a contract basis. These opportunities are typically based in their research and development facility located in Dunton which is the largest automotive technical centre in the United Kingdom.

The Role:
Project Control Engineer

The objective of the Project Control Engineer is to:
management and deliver of a fully validated and signed-off Powertrain Control System into vehicle applications meeting all relevant GPDS deliverables
- Run weekly PMST meeting
- Single point of contact with Power pack PMT for status reporting/communication with program
- Cascade high level vehicle requirements, function, quality, cost, and timing.
- Ensure all control system deliverables are timed and completed as per GPDS timing (sourcing, design freeze, WERS release, validation, costs, delivery, sign off)
- Maintain a list of current programs requiring Controls support
- Report project status at Controls PIR meeting
- Liaison and negotiation with calibration team to ensure that overall control system development timing and delivery is aligned with calibration development plan
- Ensure Controls prototype parts, vehicles and Rig requirements are captured and recognized by the program
- Parts supplier issue resolution (work with core/supplier). Project Controls needs to cascade build dates and quantities. Confirm orders to support builds are placed.
- Lead supplier Program Reviews
- Aims and E tracker management
- Lead creation and development of ECM launch industrialization plan
- Coordination and negotiation with supplier in support of ECM calibration release process
- Track and manage project budget and spend plan
