The Role:
As Lead Project Controls Professional you will be an important team as you lead the implementation efforts for exciting onshore and LNG projects. Each day you will ensure that all project control activities such as cost and change management, project administration, project estimating, and schedule management are executed in a timely fashion. You should be a self-motivated professional with a Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of successful project controls experience, and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each new project controls task. Our Lead Project Controls Professionals: * Understand EPC full service, program, and joint venture/consortium project delivery processes for multiple industries and demonstrate advanced knowledge of project control work processes and practices as it relates to budgeting, monitoring and tracking actual costs, change orders and forecasting. * Have hands-on experience and are able to implement basic design and construction schedules and possess the knowledge of calculating physical percent complete and calculating overall percent complete for the project. * Develop, implement and monitor earned value systems that accurately measure project work progress and performance. Thoroughly understand CPI, SPI, BCWS, ACWP and the impacts/results of an earned value report and provide timely feedback to project and business group management. * Understand the various contract types, i.e. cost plus, T&M;, FFP and provide interpretation of the prime contract requirements. * Exercise independent and professional judgment in solving problems and coordinating issues as it relates to cost and schedules, and exercise independent judgment in dealing with clients, subcontractors and team partners in solving cost and scheduling problems. * Serve as key resource in implementing project and program portal environments, capable of understanding client requirements and adapting in-house and off-the-shelf tools to meet those requirements. * Supervise the development and issuance of timely cost control reports. Prepare and issue cost control analysis narratives including recommendations for corrective actions that are used by business group management and project teams to manage the work. * Act as a check and balance with the project management team in determining the financial health of the project. *

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Primavera Project Planner (P6), Access, Microsoft Project as well as spreadsheet and word processing software such as Microsoft Excel and Word.
B.Sc. or B. Eng., or other recognized business qualification with a minimum of 10 years practical working experience in the oil and gas industry, including 5 years experience in the project services/controls of similar business * Direct leadership responsibility for planning, cost management, cost accounting and document management in the last 3 years as a minimum * Possess an understanding of how cost controls integrates with and impacts other areas, and builds understanding of business trends and industry issues and challenges * Knowledge of EPC/full service, program, and JV/consortium project delivery processes for multiple industries * Ability to effectively communicate complex project controls information to and interact with varied audiences including clients, regional management and project delivery management and teams * Oil & gas indu
