The Role:
Lead project controls strategy and execution on the portfolio of projects utilising the project control systems and procedures.
Direct and assure accuracy of project cost, progress, forecast and schedule information being produced, interpret contract obligations from a project controls perspective and provide guidance to the project controls teamEnsure all project control requirements are met.
Main responsibilities:

• Establish project control and reporting methodology consistent with the Project Management Process and that are applicable to meet project requirements and disseminate requirements to the Project team
• Take ownership of cost control functions within the portfolio and ensure integrity of the data being processed and the quality of reporting being produced across projects
• Identify and manage resource and work environment needs for the project controls team
• Ensure effective coordination and cooperation between team members, particularly in regard to cost, scope control, planning and scheduling
• Inspire and motivate subordinates and others within the portfolio team
• Lead and guide the project controls team
• Develop, enhance and manage the estimate generation process to ensure setup for successful project controls
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members and other project personnel
• Anticipate future resource needs and identify and recruit project controls personnel
• Ensure project controls are effectively deployed within the portfolio, including:
• Establish project baseline information, codes, deliverables, cost data, schedule, reporting structure) in appropriate project controls systems
• Interface with project personnel to coordinate data flow from the project team, manage data integrity checks, input data, develop project forecasts and reports, analyse reports, highlight deviations and assist in remedial actions
• Prepare project budgets in conjunction with engineering and construction team members
• Liaise with clients to clarify cost related requirements, reporting purposes and issues

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• 10 years professional experience in project control related duties of project cost, progress, forecast and planning and scheduling for EPCM.
• Detailed knowledge of project controls systems and procedures
