Our client is a global leader in the design and delivery of infrastructure, power and major engineering projects around the world. Their clients come to them for a wide range of advice, resources and skills - in engineering, maintaining infrastructure, managing construction, planning and strategic thinking.

The Role:
The role

As a project controller you will provide project control and contract administration on projects and bids. This will include Contract Administration, Planning & Scheduling, Cost Control, Billings & Collections and Quality.

The Project Controller will work directly with Project Managers, Bid Managers other Project Controllers, Operations Directors and Project Controls Director in delivering projects on time and within budget.

As a Project Controller your main duties will involve:

• Review of contracts
• Monitor contract compliance
• Preparation of sub consultant agreements and inter-company task orders
• Assist in preparation & updating project risk registers
• Regular client interface
• Preparation of schedule and work breakdown structure in conjunction with project managers & bid managers
• Monitor schedule throughout project, highlighting deviation from plan
• Completion of deliverables list to assess earned value on project
• Assist in preparation of work breakdown structure and financial forecasts for bids
• Work with project manager in updating forecast cost to complete on projects on a periodic basis
• Monitoring project financial performance against budget and identify potential variation orders
• Assist in negotiation of variation orders
• Review cost/revenue variations on projects & report reasons for change
• Track unbilled costs
• Preparation of invoices in line with payment terms within contract
• Produce invoice schedules
• Monitor cash flow and expedite aged debt
• Ensure compliance with the business management system through the lifecycle of project
• Internal project audit
• Maintain & co-ordinate approved supplier database.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
As a Project Controller you will have:

Degree or HNC/D Level (Business & Finance/Commercial)

The successful candidate will be commercially aware and able to offer commercial guidance and support to project and bid managers, confident, detail orientated, capable of taking initiative, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, must be familiar with budgets, cash flow, invoicing skills, ability to handle multiple tasks and projects.
