The Role:
A new opportunity has arisen for a Project Controls Coordinator based onsite on a 28/28 rotation.
The position provides supervision and coordination of all site project controls activities including:
• Cost engineering functions for Contractor’s Subcontracts & Purchase Orders, Owners Costs & Owners Contracts (Cost Control, analysis, change control, forecasting and reporting).
• Reviews, validates, and supports the approved integrated Project Controls plan, maintains the WBS, with other project team members to deliver the implementation of the Project Controls processes, procedures and systems for the Downstream Site Team.
• Oversight of the day to day operations of Site Project Cost Control System, administration, training and data integrity.
• Supports Project Reporting requirements for Site Team (Project Controls Reports, Business Services Report & input to DS management Reports) responsible for the Coordination of Site inputs for reporting, coordinates input into Central Reporting requirements (JV Performance Reports & Project Monthly Reports).
• Responsible for maintaining Project controls related procedures (VOWD, Trending, Forecasting, sub-contractor reporting) interface with Central and Downstream Project controls groups works with Finance to ensure coordination with accounting processes, systems, and procedures.
• Responsible for oversight and administration of site related Management of Change, including trend development, coordination with Site reps, and engineers, budget transfers and contingency drawdown.
• Coordinates generating accurate and timely forecasts of outstanding costs, based on an integrated analysis of the appropriate project performance information, such as productivity trends, change control trends, earned value analysis, and other ad hoc studies as required.
• Engaging key stakeholders to review and approve detailed cost impacts and ensure that the level of cost reporting satisfies the needs and expectations for the site PMT.
• Interface with Site Construction and subcontractors to identify potential changes, commercial risks / trends and support issuance Project Deviation Notices or Non-conformances.
• Interface with Recruitment to manage Project Controls staffing requirements at Site.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree Qualified: Bachelor of Science
Circa 15+ years in Mining or Energy Construction
5+ years supervisory

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
High Degree of technical skills in project controls systems and reporting
Knowledgeable in contract administration and commercial management, some exposure to mediation or negotiation experience
Autonomous worker, Team leadership, Safety leadership, Strong partnering & influencing skills, Effective communicator, Highly flexible
