The Company:
Leading operator with Assets in the UK N. Sea and also has interests abroad.

The Role:
The position will primarily support the Projects group with Engineering and Subsea but will also support the appraisal and engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

oSupport the Projects team in developing and maintaining project controls processes and tools that are suitable for company business and methodology.
oSupport the Projects team in planning, costing and estimating associated with life of field, 5 year and annual budget plans. Provide regular and comprehensive schedule status reports to Project Management
oWork with contractors to ensure all activity schedules are aligned and integration of plans is understood.
oSupport Project Managers to ensure plans and cost forecasts are available at a suitable level for all Decision Review Boards and critical project decisions.
oLiaise with and support Senior Project Engineering personnel to ensure proper understanding of the key schedule sensitivities and drivers.
oWork with operations teams and company planning function to ensure data sets are aligned and potentially linked.
oWork with contractors planners to ensure a consistent style of WBS is utilised under guidance from the project manager.
oRun scenarios as directed by the Project Managers to assess options and impacts with respect to costs and schedules from changes in project scope and execution.
oDevelop front end plans and estimates for projects in conjunction with the wider team
oEnsure forecasts are driven from the activity schedule and the information produced is aligned with the finance groups requirements.
oReview scope change requests for the impact on schedules and the critical path of the project
oContribute to the development of contract strategies documents
oEnsure that all contract key dates and milestones align with the overall integrated plan
oContribute to the development of the project's risk profiles and translate these into the plans using deterministic and probabilistic analysis methods as appropriate.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
oPreferred - Engineering, Business or Projects qualifications - HND or higher
oCompletion of appropriate planning course
oDemonstrable planning experience within Oil and Gas projects and operations
oExperience working with risking methodology and packages with a clear understanding of the underlying principles
oExperience within the cost control/finance sections of the business

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
oExperience working on major capital projects within an Oil and Gas operator and with a programme of projects
