The Company:
Our Client is one of the World Leading Oil and Gas Company involved in one of Australia's landmark LNG Facilities. At present they are involved in a number of Brownfield Projects, including Maintenance and Asset Mangement.

The Role:
The role of Project Controls Lead will be an integratal part of the Project Management Team which is accountable for developing and implementing a rigorous control environment including;
Cost Estimating,
Cost Reporting,
Risk Management,
Change Control and Management Reporting

Key deliverables for this role will include providing the Project Management team with a proactive and forward looking cost and schedule information that will enable transparency of project position and risks at all times.

Specifically this will include:

The Development and maintenace of a Project Controls organization with the capability to proactively manage the Project in accordance with overall objectives
Effective project controls systems that provide the Project and WA management with forward looking information of a quality that provides a sound basis for decision making
Manage development of and maintain an overall Master Schedule in Primavera then provide project-wide planning, scheduling, trend and progress reporting services
Ensure that the overall project control system requirements are incorporated into all contracts. Monitor and audit Contractor schedules, completion assessments and reporting to ensure accuracy and realism.
Maintain the project risk management system, arrange and manage periodic cost and schedule risk assessments
Provide project-wide WBS, cost estimating, cost forecasting, cost control, trend and cost reporting services
Provide project-wide accounting and finance services
Provide and coordinate project auditing activities
Develop and own project communication plan
Provide general administration support
Monitor and control project controls costs against budget.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Degree qualified in an appropriate technical or commercial discipline supplemented with a further qualification or experience in the other area
- Offshore oil and gas background (10-15 years) ideally with significant project-wide project controls and supervisory experience
- Sound business background including experience in contracts, finance and planning.
- Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting.
- Sound knowledge of cost reporting and analysis.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Well-developed analytical skills with ability to assess project cost and schedule status and identify gaps and risks
- Proficient in managing data, interpreting and analysing trends.
- Experience of working in a contracting environment ideally as part of a managerial team.
- Ability to build a strong relationship with key contractor personnel.
- Strong communications, networking and interpersonal skills, coupled with highly developed influencing skills.

- Good general working knowledge of SAP including project reporting experience and Business Warehouse
- Knowledge and experience of established Project Planning system applications and in particular Primavera..
- Experience of the needs of other Disciplines and how these link to the Project Controls including technical, procurement, HSEQ, Information Management and Construction
- Track record of CPD
Current survival and medical certificates are required for offshore travel.
