The Company:
Our client is one of the world’s premier integrated LNG enterprises and has an enviable reputation for being a safe and reliable supplier of LNG that has transformed a regional resource into a key component of the global energy mix.

The Role:
This position is residential in Dubai.

The Project Controls Lead coordinates all aspects of Project Controls including maintenance, monitoring and reporting for the Project FEED activities.

Duties include;

• Provides progress measurement and cost management expertise to the PMT.
o Responsible for monitoring the Contractor’s overall cost and schedule performance.
o Responsible for ensuring that proper and effective project control measures are executed by the Contractor to monitor its schedule control activities and progress reporting.
o Reviews project changes to evaluate any schedule and/or cost impact.
o Coordinates, monitors and assesses Contractor’s efforts in development of the project controls systems and change order management systems.
o Reviews and, where appropriate, endorses schedule, progress and cost baselines and forecast prepared by the Contractor.
o Analyzes cost, schedule and progress trends developed by the Contractor.
o Reviews and endorses measured progress reported by the Contractor.
o Reviews, analyzes, and endorses Contractor(s) invoices and ensures consistency with approved earned progress.
o Coordinates preparation of PMT weekly and monthly reports.
o Assists PMT in developing/reviewing cost and schedule corrective actions and recovery plans, and making sure needed actions/plans are implemented.
o Prepares and coordinate input for Project Status Review presentation packages.
o Prepares input of monthly cost reports (budgets, forecast, expenditures and commitments).
o Responds to ad hoc requests from PMT related to Controls/Reporting.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Thorough and extensive knowledge of project controls principles, theories, concepts and tools.
• Bachelors of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Business Administration with relevant experience.
• Minimum of ten (10) years broad experience in the area of project controls, including cost, schedule and progress reporting.
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience associated with engineering, procurement and construction for oil and gas facilities capital projects.
• Excellent computer skills. Proficient in the use of MS Office 2010 (Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook).
• Knowledgeable in the use of PRIMAVERA (P6) / MS PROJECT planning software,
• Strong written and oral communication skills and good interpersonal skills, ability to work with others and to build consensus among team.
• Strong coordination experience and good team skills.
• Middle East or Qatar experience is preferred.
