The Company:
An international energy services company.

The Role:
High level role providing the coordination, provision and use of corporate project controls procedures, toolsets and resources to all contracts. Ensuring the contract management teams are in receipt of and make proper use of the correct project management information / reports from a cost, planning, estimating and risk perspective.
Effective management of project controls team including motivation, goal setting, delegation, performance review, recognition and where necessary, the appropriate initiation of disciplinary and / or RIF procedures
Accountable for:
The overall provision of an integrated project controls function (Estimating, Cost, Risk and Planning) on all contracts.
Responsible for:
Ensuring integration & coordination between project controls functions - Estimating, Cost, Risk and Planning.
Ensuring correct compliance and application of change control and risk analysis.
Ensuring correct level & quality of project controls resources based on contract workload.
Assurance of compliance of contract based teams with corporate project control procedures.
Applying correct and efficient use of project controls toolset
Promotion of project controls function, procedures and toolsets within the contracts and management team, and externally with the customer.
Provision of reporting in terms of SLA, content, quality, accuracy and usefulness.
Provision of interface between project management and project control function leads.
Provision of interface between management team personnel and project controls function head & chiefs.
Management of expectations - internal & external.
Efficient management of the cost of the provision of the project controls function.
Effective measuring and reporting of performance.
Application of continuous improvement & productivity improvements
Ownership of capacity planning and compliance to any related work entry processes.
Proactive highlighting of any areas of slippage in performance, schedule, cost, HSE
Provision data to allow completion of monthly corporate project controls report.
Required to:
Provide Project Control guidance to contract management.
Challenge any instructions that would require deviation from process, procedure or toolset.
Fully support and align with the Project Controls function head & chiefs.
Fully support corporate initiatives.
Fully support team development & succession - including graduates & trainees.
Liaise with other contract functions & departments - Engineering, Procurement, Commercial, DCC, HSE, recruitment, Project Management and HR / recruitment.
Always look for opportunities to impact & improve the bottom Line.
Adapt to changing requirements.
Honestly and proactively highlight any areas for concern to line & function.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree in Project, Business or Management related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience in a Project controls role.
Hook up experience is essential.
Experience in a project controls management related role.
Experience in project controls functions of Cost, Estimating, Planning and the management thereof.
Exposure to other project functions such as project management, procurement, document control, commercial.
