The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
Commits to and champions the development and implementation of a safe working environment for everyone on the project and the continuing establishment of an incident and injury free culture. Provide the necessary oversight and stewardship to the Integrated Execution Team (IET) Project Controls Manager on site. Provide direction and leadership such that the project controls functions at site is fully compliant with company processes and procedures, and deliverables meet company and project requirements. Champion productivity focus and initiatives. Maintain an independent company register of project controls metrics; schedule, progress, productivity, indirect ratio’s and man-hours / forecast. In particular be intimate with the following activities to ensure Project Controls at site is being administered to provide the necessary information required to obtain best overall construction performance in a safe and cost effective manner.
• Sub-contractor’s schedules (accuracy regarding logic ties and progress status).
• Critical paths and any constraints existing in schedule.
• Contractors & Sub-contractors manpower requirements against resource loaded schedule, and actual manpower at site.
• Placement norms, as built into schedule and progress.
• Status of the control schedule, with data from the contractor’s schedules and actual progress. Assist with development of the strategy for Project Controls on site and the effective interface with the Perth based organization. Prepare reports and provide advice to the Deputy Site Execution Manager on weekly status, challenges / opportunities, and direction / focus on all matters pertaining to project controls. Assist with development of staffing strategies and plans for CM Organization at site.
• Assist in leading and sustaining a highly committed team. Supervise / mentor junior personnel.
• Interfaces with IET and Contractor project controls focal points.
• Engage the team through communication and commitments.
• Attend planning meetings with IET and Contractors, and chair weekly Project Controls meeting with site PMT.
• Effectively influence the organization to have level 4 schedules for the scope of work, and level 5 schedules for various tasks within the scope of work. • Drive superior results. • Conduct and contribute to coaching and performance evaluation of team members.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• BS preferred or equivalent experience
• 5+ years as a Project Controls Manager • 15+ years Project Controls experience in construction
• Well developed communication and interpersonal relationship skills. • Competent in use of computer systems and software • Ability to manage multiple tasks and a keen understanding of construction sequencing. • Good knowledge of LNG construction planning and dealing / interfacing with Contractors.
