The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
A new position has arisen for an experience Project Controls Manager on a 12 month contract basis based in Perth. The role will be responsible for all Project Support Services functions (business planning, project controls services, project accounting and Information Systems (IS) / Information Management (IM) to provide the Project Manager with the necessary insight to efficiently plan and manage ongoing activities and accurately predict project outcomes.

The role will undertake the following:
• Builds and directs organizational capability for these functions.
• Monitors Information Protection processes and procedures.
• The role requires close integration with the varied project phases to leverage synergies and minimize impact overall project.
• Participates as member of Project Leadership Team to set strategic direction, and provide direction for planning and execution of assigned responsibilities.
• Provides leadership in use of company procedures and processes, including front-end loading and project execution planning.
• Identifies and completes all appropriate company practices and assurance activities focused on delivery of required project outcomes, and develops cost and schedule estimates for Appropriation Request, together with delivery of relevant Best Practices.
• Business Planning: Coordinates development of Phases 2-4 work plans and budgets and Levels 0-1 Project Schedules.
• Project interface with Planning and Commercial Groups for planning and funding activities.
• Continuously monitors and reports project performance against project deliverables and schedules.
• Assists project teams to develop detailed plans or corrective actions as necessary to maintain alignment with budgetary and progress commitments.
• Presents plans and status reports to the company and JV partners.
• Project Controls: Implement project controls systems and procedures (estimating, cost control, scheduling, trending, and reporting) to fully align with project and company needs.
• Ensures status reports for internal and Joint Venture Participant stakeholders (formal monthly reports or ad hoc presentations) are clear, concise, accurate, and provided in a timely manner.
• Also compiles annual Affiliate Work Plans and subsequently supports technical teams in stewarding to the plan.
• Ensure adequate supervision, personnel administration, training and performance feedback processes are resourced and implemented for project staff.
• Assists / develops and maintains key working relationships with Project Managers, Joint Venture Participants, contractors and supplier senior management to establish reciprocating expectations and commitments to Project objectives.
• Position will have 7-10 direct reports

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A track record as a Project Controls Manager within an operator environment
Oil & Gas project experience
Managed project controls teams across planning, cost, estimating IM, project accounting etc
Degree educated
Strong budgeting and cost focus
