The Company:
Fircroft are looking to recruit for Project Controls specialists on behalf of our client which is an global oil company with assets across the globe.

The Role:
Accountable for the production, maintenance and verification by interfacing with the Contractors Project Services organisation covering the site construction contract monthly valuation of work, site planning activities, progress reporting, progress measurement and analysis, forecasting and value of work done and support agreeing for variation orders and star rates.

• Close liaison with Tbilisi based central team – Cost, Planning and Contracts
• Contracts surveillance activities
o Close interface with UK based EPMS contractor regarding AFC measurement and update of the Bills of Approximate Quantities
o Close interface with Construction Contractors Project Controls Organisation on agreement of AFC Measure, update of Bills of Approximate Quantities, interim valuations, change management and linkage to the Level 3 construction plan
o Verification of Monthly interim valuations – Preliminaries, Measured work, Dayworks, Reimbursable Materials and Subcontracts.
o Valuing completed work / development of Final Account
o Verification and agreement of Star Rates for new work items
o Verification of Civil and Site-run materials
o Verification of Variation Orders
o Recognize and modify plans arising from the impact of variations / change management
• Planning activities
o Interface with construction planner to ensure progress measurement system as shown in the level 3 reflects the BoAQ’s scope
o Progress Measurement by asset / WBS by discipline / ensure compliance with the WBS Level 3
o Incorporate changes to the Level 3 re-measure in the planning / progress measurement system
o Spot check and verify Level 4 listings (Rules of Credit) in relationship with activities physically completed on site
o Review Contractors schedules for integrity and accuracy
o Preparation of weekly and monthly inputs to Georgia team
o Progress performance aligned to project objectives
• Project Control / Finance activities
o Preparation of interim payment certificate
o Validate and ensure compliance Cost Centre / Account Code allocation
o Assist with VOWD / by source currency
o Assist with Forecasting, Trending and Expenditure phasing
o Variance analysis
o Verification of contractor manpower / discipline productivity performance and manning levels
• Liaise with Engineering / Construction groups with respect to progress measurement, reporting and change management
• Production of ‘what if’ scenarios and ad-hoc plans associated with risks as required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
University Degree in relevant field.
10 years or more working on Greenfield, Brownfield projects in the areas of planning, scheduling, cost, estimating or quantity survey.
Willing to work overseas, possibly at remote sites and harsh environment.
