The Company:
Our client is one of Australia's largest oil and gas producers, who is committed to help meet the worlds energy needs while addressing the challenge of sustainability balancing economic growth, social development and environmental protection. The opportunity has arisen for a (Building the Production Organization) BTPO Project Coordinator for the PNG LNG Project.

This resident role will initially be based in Brisbane for 12 months and eventually be transferred to Papua New Guinea.

The Role:
The BTPO Project Coordinator is responsible for broad execution and administrative support to the BTPO Organization Building effort through completion of the BTPO Project.

Responsibilities and duties:
• Oversight of the BTPO schedule development effort and deliverables tracking processes
• Helps facilitate the monthly BTPO Coordination team meetings and preparation of the BTPO project weekly and monthly progress reports (narratives, charts, graphs, etc.)
• Facilitates the BTPO project issues management/resolution process and Management of Change processes; tracks and facilitates closure of BTPO relevant MOCs
• Helps manage interfaces within the BTPO team and also serves as a key interface with the main Project’s Project Controls team
• Maintains a list of and facilitates regular review of strategic challenges and helps ensure plans in place to address longer term, strategic issues
• Develops ad hoc management reports and presentations on progress, status and plans
• Serves to improve coordination within both the Org Building and broader BTPO teams and helps identify and implement work process improvements
• Provides support to the cost and staffing teams as required
• Provides coordination support to annual planning and budget exercise
• Captures and communicates execution lessons learned for the BTPO project
• Stand-in for BTPO Organization Building Mgr as required

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Broad and extensive knowledge of: Project Controls and Project & Operations Planning
• Bachelor Degree in an engineering discipline
• Closely related professional experience
• Strong organizational, administrative and analytical skills
• Ability to apply technical knowledge and judgment
• Ability to adapt to pressure (tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs, Lotus Notes, etc.
• Excellent communication skills (both writing and verbal)
• An understanding on how schedules work
