The Company:
Major operator is seeking a Project Delivery Engineer (E&I) for a 2 year opportunity in Trinidad and Tobago. The Project Engineer shall be the primary technical co-ordination interface between the company, stakeholders and contractor during the development, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning phases of related projects.

The Role:
• Co-ordinate and execute nominated projects in accordance with the Valued Assurance Framework for Brownfield projects.
• Maintains HSE focus within the team and ensure continued improvement of the HSSE performance of the Asset.
• Monitors the closure of all identified risks and opportunities.
• Contribute to the planning and development of the Project Execution Plan (PEP).
• Contribute to the development of project schedules.
• Act as primary co-ordination interface with contractors to achieve successful completion of the Project Execution Plan (PEP).
• Actively adopt change control processes during project execution.
• Actively interpret specifications, drawings, standards and regulations relating to new process systems, platform design changes and modifications.
• Ensure project conformance with the approved Basis of Design and all applicable regulatory and code requirements.
• Act as primary interface to ensure that project objectives and scopes are communicated to and accepted by Asset Integrity, Maintenance, and Operations
• Prepare project work-packs and Management of Change packages for Operations approval prior to project execution offshore.
• Contribute to development of commissioning work packages and close-out work packages.
• Focus team on achievement of milestones and key project objectives.
• Proactively resolve performance, scope, schedule, design and constructability issues as they arise, and propose corrective means of recovering potential schedule and budget overruns.
• Monitors cost aspects of the project within direct control and forecasts final costs, identifies trends and takes action to avoid cost overruns.
• Participate in the technical evaluation of contractor bids for the supply of goods or services.
• Participate in hazard operability studies, process hazard analyses and P&ID reviews with regards to new equipment and systems.
• Participate in the development of operating and maintenance procedures for new equipment and continual review of existing procedures for continuous improvement.
• Provide technical troubleshooting assistance to the operating personnel.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Previous experience as Project Engineer for Company PMT on FEED, Detailed design, and Construction ( EPC )
• Broad knowledge of Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls in an offshore environment.
• Must have managed and/or worked at least three projects for Engineering (EPC/Engineering Contractor/Operator)
• Delivery of at least one project, working in an offshore project environment, preferably with brownfield construction and commissioning scope.
• Knowledge of key phase, milestones and gates in the project lifecycle and project management framework.
• Knowledge of engineering contract processes and sequences and offshore construction requirements.
• Understanding of basic QC requirements such as material certification.
• Able to oversee and ensure contractor performance and execution of Engineering, Construction and Commissioning.
• The engineer should be available to take occasional overseas trips for contractor meetings, FAT and site visits and regular technical trip

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Ability to work with Local Engineers and Overseas experience
• The person should be self-motivated to determine and outline the required engineering scope of work and identify and tender to suitable contractors going through to awarding and managing the various engineering contracts.
• Should have good communication skills for leading contractor discussions and building long term contractor relationships.
• Evidence of project management skills including scheduling, resource management, cost estimating and economics calculations.
• Ability to articulate issues and secure engineering completion from EPCM Contractor in consultation with PMT Engineers
