The Role:
PROJECT DIRECTOR – PERTH OR BRISBANE BASED – STAFF ROLE ONLY - $$ EXC + BENEFITS ***ASSISTANCE WITH AUSTRALIAN RESIDENCY / WORK VISA POSSIBLE FOR THIS POSITION ***

Our Client is a global leader with annual revenues of over £3 billion. They are a robust and focused supplier of high-value consultancy, engineering and project management services to the world’s Oil and Gas, Minerals and Metals, Green Energy, Environment and Infrastructure markets. Their Australian arm is undergoing an exciting growth phase which will see the business grow organically by 50% over the next 5 years.

We are currently seeking an experienced, dynamic and project focused Project Director to assist with strategically directing, planning and executing one of Australia’s largest CSG projects over the next 6-8 years and beyond. This is a multi-billion dollar project in a reimbursable environment. This high-achieving Project Director will be responsible for the following (but not limited to):

Ensuring that the overall project (EPC) is delivered successfully to client technical, safety, contractual, commercial standards, policies and procedures.
Ensuring the PMC contract is managed and delivered to client technical, safety, contractual, commercial standards, policies and procedures.
Ensuring the PMC contract is managed and delivered to customer satisfaction.
Ensuring that key reports carry out their duties in line with their job descriptions and to client satisfaction
Ensuring that customer relationships and lines of communication are maintained at all levels within the project
Interfacing with local company corporate and support groups to maximize effectiveness of support to the PMC in infrastructure related aspects
Managing agriculture and environmental challenges that may arise.
Interfacing with the Operator Client to ensure regular project status update reports are administered.
Providing leadership in all aspects of the PMC delivery of the project including leadership of the management team and wider leadership team across all core and EPC related activities
Ensuring the PMC organization is resourced to the correct disciplines and numbers, and at the correct locations, to deliver the overall project to the requirements of the contract and in support of the EPC contractors

Please note that this is a high-profile position so there are some mandatory requirements for this opportunity:
The ability to direct large multi-billion Oil & Gas projects (valued circa $10bn)
Coal Seam Gas experience with CSG related projects previously.
An understanding of FEED / EPCM structured phases
Strong understanding of stakeholder management principles
