The Company:
Our Client is a major international engineering and construction company with an ever-increasing global presence.

The Role:
Our Client is currently seeking two Project Directors - one based in Saudia Arabia, one based in Oman - to lead a number of multi-billion dollar projects across the Middle East region.

Key performance areas:

• Study the build strategy / client specification / Contract and prepare Master Project Plan.
• Ensures compliance with all corporate commercial practices and standards.
• Ensure Project milestones and commercial controls are achieved by effective planning including logistics and execution.
• Determine and implement the exact needs of the Client as per Contract & Specification. Leads project team through a regular system of contract reviews to identify & manage risks, monitor operational performance against the agreed timescales, and instigates corrective action where appropriate.
• Always customer oriented structured, systematic and pro active approach to implement any system including ISO
• Should keep pace with technology.
• Keep high morale of team members.

Duties would include:

• Performs a key role in identification and shortlisting of suitable International companies/vendors for Engineering, Procurement and Construction on a consultant basis.
• Perform a key role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed.
• Create the teams, develop the objectives/goals of each and assign individual responsibilities.
• Project accounting functions including managing the budget, tracking if team expenses and minimizing exposure and risk in the project.
• Ensure that construction activities move according to predetermined schedule.
• Devise the project work plans and make revisions as and when need arises.
• Communicate effectively with the contractors responsible for completing various phases of the project.
• Co-ordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the project, which include the architects, consultants, contractors, sub-contractors and laborers.
• Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings with all the sub-teams.
• Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards.
• Periodic inspection of construction sites.
• Ensure project documents are complete.
• Identify the elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims.
• Serve as a key link with the clients and review the deliverable prepared by the team before passing onto client.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
At least 20 - 25 yrs experience in handling EPC / EPCM medium / large size projects of Hydrocarbon Sector, especially in Field development /offshore/ refinery & petrochemical EPC / Composite Construction Projects.
Experience with reputed International Oil & Gas EPCM consultant/contracting Company in GCC Countries (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE) would be preferred.
Must have strong leadership skills and proven track record of successful delivering the Oil & Gas construction Project valued over One Billion USD.
Will be able to manage high performance teams and motivate to achieve targets
