The Company:
Global oil and gas firm.

The Role:
This position reports to the Midstream Project Finance Director and supports the development and structuring of a stand-alone entity for North American midstream assets. The role supports the efforts to assess and evaluate: financial structures and frameworks, and business development options. The role is accountable for supporting the transaction design and valuation interfaces with financial advisors and legal counsel. The role ensures collaboration and alignment with CorporateTax, Legal, Finance teams and the E&P Onshore Production and Strategy, Commercial, New Business Development organizations.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Develop, operate, and maintain a midstream economic model capable of evaluating the range of potential monetization transactions for North America Onshore Midstream Assets (Sale, Leaseback, JV, MLP, etc.).
• Evaluate investment opportunities for midstream business.
• Support the setting of appropriate tariff and fee structures to provide the appropriate rate of return on Midstream assets.
• Coordinate evaluation activity within Tax, Accounting, Treasury and the Infrastructure and Operations Teams.

• Contracts: Detailed working knowledge of E&P and commercial contracts; ability to read commercial contracts as an advocate for the company’s goals. Ability to understand different JV structures and translate this knowledge into business risk and value assessments.
• Project Management: Clarifies objectives, project time lines, and success criteria, progresses discussions and actions to deliver results.
• Oil & Gas Business: Understands oil and gas value chain elements and their interactions and how value drives, risk and uncertainty are addressed contractually value drivers.
• Competitive Environment: Gathers competitive market intelligence and uses data to gain competitive advantage. Identifies and understands risks to the business and recommends ways of mitigating.
• Negotiations: Proactive in building trust, exploring options, clarifying understanding, and managing expectations.
• Markets: Demonstrates a working knowledge of oil and gas market fundamentals and the dynamics of competing fuels.
• Acquisitions, Divestments, and Approvals: Manages detailed technical and commercial evaluations. Develops and represents business cases for approval.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience and Education:
• Experience in multiple producing basins, export systems, and fiscal regimes preferred.
• Business or Technical Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
• Minimum of 10 years in Oil and Gas industry preferred.
