The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
* Liaise with Programme Teams, VE, MP&L, Engineering and Finance to assist in the planning and delivery of prototype engines to support the key programme milestones.
* Develop prototype engine orders/specifications with Programme/Vehicle Engineering (VE) teams.
* Provide clear build requirements (specification, timing and status) to other functions within PTTO.
* Support the creation and maintenance of GPIRS Schedules and drive discipline into the BOM management process to ensure engine build integrity.
* This includes running GPIRS BOM validations, Green List and PBM meetings as required.
* Key person within the Build Planning meetings to drive out robustness for build readiness.
* Support Engine Builds onsite including attending start-up and wash-up meetings as required.
* Collaboration with Engine Build to understand issues and proactively support resolution.
* Represent PTTO in senior forums where Lead Planner is unable to attend.
* Support the overall Prototype Engine Build Planning team to ensure success.
* Take part in the on-going development and enhancement of the Prototype Engine Planning process.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Automotive Powertrain Engineering Background
* Experience with Engine Build
* Knowledge of powertrain systems and BOM.
* Knowledge of Product Development structure and processes.
* Good systems understanding of GPIRS / WERS release / WIPS system.
* Knowledge of PCS (Product Creation System) and prototype build process desirable.
* Candidates should preferably be educated to degree level, or equivalent, in an appropriate discipline.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Self motivated, enthusiastic, pro-active, demonstrates initiative, with ability to work independently.
* Good project management skills, thorough and logical approach to issues, good attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills.
* PC literate, especially MS Office.
* Capable of representing PTTO in meetings at all levels with confidence and credibility.
* Candidates should preferably be educated to degree level, or equivalent, in an appropriate discipline.
* Flexible with respect to travel (Gaydon, & Whitley primarily but potential travel to Solihull, Browns Lane).
* Full driving license.
