The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Reporting to the PVT PC&D Management, this role will be responsible for understanding the current and emerging key issues based on both internal and external quality metrics, and engaging with the issue owners to progress and track to closure. The role will utilise forums including Find It Fix It and Key Issues meetings to drive robust problem definition and track issue status. An additional part of this role will be to champion market specific issues highlighted from the MENA and NAS markets. This involves liaison with the CMT local market teams to drive robust problem definitions, work plans and status reporting. This work may encompass the resolution of current engineering issues, Quick Service Fixes, Campaigns, PCPA Quality Audit issues, FMS Fleet Vehicle issues, monitoring quality systems, quality data analysis and design improvements & model year updates. The role regularly involves working with cross functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, CoC, Suppliers, Product Investigation (Service) and Dealers, so provides a unique opportunity to gain experience across a wide range of departments within the business. As this role combines whole vehicle line level (cross functional) projects and market specific exposure with senior level reviews, it provides an excellent career development opportunity and wide ranging experience for a capable and enthusiastic candidate.

Key Responsibilities: -
* Develop a wide knowledge of VL performance in all internal and external quality metrics
* Understand and drive the timely resolution of key issues
* Track and progress Engineering actions required to support field service actions and QSFs.
* Track and progress Engineering actions required to support MENA/NAS market specific issues.
* Utilise relevant PVT forums and processes to track issue progress and remove roadblocks
* Encourage data driven quick decision making using appropriate quality data sources (e.g. Warranty, Roadside Assistance, FTT, PCPA, EPQRs etc.)
* Champion the use of appropriate problem solving tools and techniques (G8D, Six Sigma etc.) to support delivery of robust engineering solutions

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Good cross functional coordination capability (Engineering/Manufacturing/Service/Quality)
* Good cross engineering functional coordination capability (Power Train, Chassis, Body, Electrical, Attributes)
* Strong communication skills
* Capable of delivering in a dynamic environment
* Familiar with 8D & DMAICR problem solving processes
* Higher Engineering qualified (preferably Degree qualified)

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Knowledge of manufacturing plant processes (Desirable, but not essential for the right candidate)
* Experience or knowledge of vehicle launch or PVT (Desirable, but not essential for the right candidate)
