The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The Logistics Programme Management (LPM) is an integral part of the Global Material Logistics & Planning team (MP&L) responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of the logistics elements of all UK based New Model programmes. Working closely with all other parts of the planning teams and the Plant Manufacturing structures, the key responsibility of LPM is to take the initial New Model planning concepts from the point of `Project Approval' into the initial stages of 'Mass Production'. Confirm packaging concepts are appropriate to support the requirements of Mass Production,

• Manage the delivery of packaging to support the plant new model and model year changes within the Manufacturing site, liaising with the component supply base and packaging manufacturers for the delivery of all new and modified packaging.
• Support the concept buy-off for new containers and liaise with the related MP&L, Manufacturing, Purchasing, H&S and Quality areas as appropriate.
• Manage the achievement of packaging provision, producing metrics as required to provide clear status of project health throughout the development phases.
• Support all New Model build phase planning and review, identifying modification / change as required.
• Manage prototype buy off and provision of early prototype packaging to support pre-production build phases and confirm suitability for future deployment in Mass production
• Support management activities through development and monitoring of timing plans.
• Control Packaging Capital Budget for New Models and Model Year changes.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Packaging experience in an Automotive environment is preferable.
• Good understanding of MP&L/Manufacturing working processes/practices.
• Can work to tight deadlines and under pressure.
• Ability to communicate and influence up to leadership level.
• Strong communication skills - both written and verbal.
• Appreciation for the business operations and protocol.
• Highly organised, logical with attention to detail.
• Able to build strong relationships at all levels
• Flexible with high energy and can-do attitude, self-motivated
• Presentation skills, creative, good networking skills
• Proven history of working within logistics/manufacturing environment.
• Educated to Degree Level (desirable but not essential)
