The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Part of the Launch team for X260 16MY, the position requires representing Powertrain for the Launch phase of this programme from VP build through to J1 +90. Role requires preparation for each build phase ensuring we have a an agreed part, process and facility in place. Then principal responsibility is to monitor and resolve Powertrain launch issues in conjuction with our PT colleagues plus Launch and Manufacturing teams at Castle Bromwich. You will be one of a team of 5 in Powertrain Launch which covers all vehicle lines out of CB. The position is based at Castle Bromwich assembly plant, but also supporting Browns lane Pilot Plant during VP build phases.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Experience of negotiating technical solutions that balance the needs of stakeholders with differing objectives.
* Understanding of steps required to get a component to a production ready standard.
* Experience of working in, or interacting closely with, a production environment, recognising the pressures and needs of manufacturing.
* Good overall Powertrain system knowledge.
* Understanding of quality methods for identifying and resolving issues.
* Ability to react, engage the necessary stakeholders and report back in a timely and structured fashion when problems arise.
* Computer literate in Google, PowerPoint, Excel and Microsoft Project.
* Valid UK driving licence
* Ability to interface directly to the vehicle programme teams and represent the Powertrain Department
* Flexible, adaptable and excellent communicator - Written/Oral

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Working knowledge of project delivery & change management processes including GPDS, AIMS, WERS and eFDVS.
* Knowledge of relevant quality tools ie FMEA, 8D etc.
