The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The role is to: -
* Lead creation and tracking of budget related activities within the Base Engine Team
* Produce Management reports and present to Base Engine Senior Management on a regular basis
* Lead budget planning activities for upcoming financial years
* Lead long*term budget planning procedure
* Coordinate project requests (via PDLs) for core Engine and Vehicle Application programmes and collate budget inputs
* Process implementation and lead of resource request activities in APC phase of a programme
* Lead budget / PDL process and reporting improvements
* Support Base Engine Team in all budget queries
* Work closely together with the departmental senior managers and programme managers to capture the resource requirements for the projects being worked on or proposed to be worked on

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Experience and successful track record of work in a similar or related role e.g. Budget planning / Financial planning / Banking industry etc.
* Experience of management report collation and presentation to senior management teams
* Experience of arranging and chairing meetings
* Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
* Good level of strategic thinking
* Able to work self-initiated and coordinate / direct the actions of contributing functions
* Able to multi-task and manage own work plan to ensure target deadlines for budget inputs are met
* High level of numeracy and eye for detail
* IT literate (MS office suite)
* Able to create and manipulate complex excel spread sheets
* Minimum good GCSE passes in Mathematics and English language

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Experience in an automotive related environment - OEM or Tier 1
* Business, Programme Management or Finance related qualifications
