The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
"The Prototype BIW Build engineer is responsible for the co-ordination of the assembly of prototype bodies. The responsibilities of the Prototype BIW Engineer are:
* 1. Manage the daily BIW build activities
* 2. Interface with panel suppliers - with respect to quality, timing and modification control
* 3. Develop a BIW process [including sealing]and validate
* 4. Co-ordinate modification control both panel and body - ensure the trim and final requirements are integrated into the prototype body
* 5. Define inspection requirements and manage the dimensinal quality of the BIW
* 6. Expedite in build issues
* 7. Manage the integration of the prototype bodies into the manufacturing paint facility
* 8. Ensure the project is completed to schedule providing a daily status "


Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Automotive BIW assembly experience
Four years automotive experience required
Degree or relevant automotive experience.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Digital Buck / CATIA experience and strong Microsoft excel experience
