Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.
"A Project Engineer to support the Powertrain Strategic planning team, in order to help shape future Powertrain product offerings. This cross functional role offers excellent opportunities to demonstrate a broad range of technical, business and commercial skills as interaction with vital areas of the business (including Powertrain Engineering, Marketing, Purchase & Manufacturing) is essential. The role involves the support of process management, technology definition and coordination of Powertrain activities to:- - Lead the creation of the Powertrain commodity plans & system strategy papers, demonstrating a strategic approach for Powertrain technologies which supports the future product offering. Ensuring technical alignment, fully competitive for performance & cost. - Develop the Powertrain system integration plan, where the strategic outputs from the Powertrain system strategies are aligned to vehicle programmes via the cycle planning cadence. Support cross functional System integration Reviews (SIR) by Platform / Zone, collaborative activity to set out what is the best overall engineering solution for future architectures."

1) Proven track record in project and task management for complex tasks and the ability to balance often conflicting needs of the business.
2)Be able to build a strong cross functional network and have a broad business understanding.
3)Good knowledge of automotive industry and technological developments, including competitor and market awareness.

Good technical education and experience Educated to Degree Level. Proven track record in project and task management for complex tasks and the ability to balance often conflicting needs of the business. Demonstrate a high level of motivation, energy and resourcefulness and be able to deliver with minimum supervision. Be able to build a strong cross functional network and have a broad business understanding. Good communication, interpersonal skills, self-confidence are personal qualities needed to succeed. A good level understanding of Powertrain systems and product development principles. Computer literate, proficient in Excel and PowerPoint along with fluent in Google. "
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience Preferred: "A good working knowledge of Product Development and Programme Management processes. Experience of Product Strategy development and/or Product Planning processes would be beneficial. Knowledge of market intelligence databases. Future trends & data interrogation. Flexible approach to work, with ability to adapt to changing circumstances
