The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position Description:
The role involves working as part of a small team that review and benchmark all outsource component CAD & CAE activity to ensure Value For Money. The role involves the following:
Conduct complete analysis - in line with departmental processes - of component CAD & CAE activities.
Lead / support engineering discussions on component CAD & CAE requirements with internal Engineers.
Lead / support discussions with the offshore engineering centre team to assess capability & capacity related to specific component CAD work.
Lead / support cost discussions with Tier 1 component suppliers.
Deliver all required administration, task management and planning.

Nb.You may be required to travel within and outside of the UK

3 Key Skills Required:
Good communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility, self-motivated and possess a passion for the industry and the role.
Cost management experience.
An intermediate knowledge level in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Experience Required:
Experience of working with / for Tier 1 automotive suppliers Knowledge of automotive component design Previous experience of working in a team environment yet able to deliver excellent results with complete autonomy. Experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines Good presentation skills Good organisational & prioritisation skills

Experience Preferred:
Excellent negotiation skills Good analytical and numerical skills A team player, totally flexible, committed and motivated to deliver in all circumstances especially within a small team environment. Recent hands on experience of CAD ( Catia V5)

Additional Information :
Should have a valid UK driving licence Must have a valid passport
