The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Providing test engineer support to the off-road and all-road capability attribute team. Support the attribute leader team, with vehicle preparation, test & evaluation. Providing data to enable setting of targets e.g. Wading, Gradeability, Traction performance for ORC. Analysing & processing data obtained from objective (& subjective) test assessments & benchmarking on wide range of off-road vehicles to support off road attribute leader. Manage and develop the internal off road capability web site using Microsoft Sharepoint. Carrying out test plan in conjunction with PAT leader & project team to meet test plan requirements for off-road testing in UK & in hot & cold climatic conditions. Support development of objective metric procedures & authoring of requirements Development of off-road metrics ¿ writing procedures to support ORC development. Define expenditure for development of off-road measures. Carrying out evaluations with a number of vehicles & engineering personnel; recording & analysing data writing report & drawing conclusions from this data. Competitor analysis (over & above benchmarking), desk top data collection & physical measurement of vehicles.

3 KEY SKILLS - CAD/CAE reviewer experience Data manipulation and analysis using tools such as Excel and or Matlab. Able to conduct virtual and physical motor vehicle tests and produce detailed reports to an agreed format.

Experience Required: Highly self-motivated engineer with proven inter-personal communication/networking skills. Confident presentation & report-writing skills; competent use of MS Office. Ability to view CAE data to highlight any geometric conflicts. Must have a valid UK driving licence. A flexible approach to work beyond normal hours as required.

Experience Preferred: Good working knowledge of vehicle engineering, test & development, and experience of whole vehicle evaluation. Proven project and time management skills. Demonstrable evidence of application of a robust scientific approach & knowledge of design of experiments. Experience in using Microsoft Sharepoint would be beneficial.
