The Company:
With interests in over 20 UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) fields, my Client has one of the most significant exploration and production businesses in the offshore waters of the UK.

The Role:
• Deliver project goals, objectives and critical success factors, ensuring that these align both with the company’s corporate goals and objectives and the project’s commercial strategy.
• Interface with other members of the asset team (commercial, technical authorities, and operations) to ensure agreement on project deliverables and the timing of these deliverables.
• Maintain the Project Execution Plan and associated management system documentation in accordance with company Standards and Guidelines Monitor and manage the project schedule, ensuring that key milestones are met, and that non-PMT activities (eg: commercial, main-contractor, fabricators and operations) are accounted for.
• Understand the authority and approvals levels delegated within the project (both technical and financial) and ensure awareness within the PMT.
• Pursue the contracting strategy developed at the initial Contracting Strategy Workshop (issued prior to finalising the FEED strategy), ensuring that this continues to be appropriate and has stakeholder support (including Advance Contracts & Procurement).
• Implement a system of high quality contract administration with suitable checks and balances.
• Demonstrate visible leadership and commitment to excellent HSSE performance, including: understanding of a project HSSE Management Strategy compliant with company Standards; understanding of a Project HSSE Plan to implement the HSSE; ensuring rigorous implementation of ALARP demonstration in the design; effective HSSE monitoring and assurance, with follow-up and close-out of all non-conformances; implementation of the Life Savers and a Behaviour-Based Safety (BBS) system, cascading through all levels of the project; promotion of environmental awareness within the PMT to include best practice waste management and pollution control; regular safety tours; a safety moment to begin all meetings; effective health and security provisions to protect people and assets.
• Commit to excellent Quality management, including: implementation of a Quality Management Strategy compliant with company Standards; approval of a Quality Plan to implement the Quality Management Strategy, complete with a quality assurance audit schedule; ensuring that a Quality Exhibit is included in all contracts; follow-up and close out of all Quality audit non-conformances.
• Monitoring and management of project risks and develop and implement risk response action plans for the top risks. Also capitalise on potential opportunities.
• Work within the Value Management Plan, ensuring that suitable peer assists, peer reviews and value improving process workshops are planned, held and actions followed through, and that end-of-stage functional reviews and Readiness Reviews are planned and preparations are properly managed.
• Implement project and financial control systems to monitor project progress against target and budget, develop cash forecasts, and monitor and control variations, enabling appropriate action to be taken in a timely manner.
• Monitor contractor and supplier performance and act quickly on under performance.
• Monitor performance against project critical success factors at project monthly meetings.
• Ensure rigorous application of the management of change process in accordance with company Standards.
• Assign the responsibilities for interface management to a member of the PMT and ensure that a system for interface identification, management and closure is developed and implemented.
• Awareness of project stakeholders and ensure that a Stakeholder Management Plan is implemented that addresses the requirements for stakeholder satisfaction.
• Assign the responsibilities for permits.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Educated to first degree level in a relevant subject you will preferably be a chartered member of a relevant discipline.

As a technical professional with experience in the oil and gas or petro-chemical industry you will have knowledge of all phases of major oil and gas projects eg: FEED, EPC, Commissioning, Start-up etc and experience of the project sanction process. As well as this you will have experience of Accommodation Upgrade Projects (North Sea), managing a multi disciple (function) PMT, working on projects with joint venture partners, experience of both brownfield and greenfield developments and managing main contractors and fabricators. You must also be preapred to adopt the company cost estimating software.

With fluent english language and excellent communication skills, both written and oral, you will have the ability to challenge others in a constructive manner and negotiate with internal peers and partner representatives to influence plans.
