The Role:
The Quality Engineer will provide support to the project delivery through the implementation of quality principles and techniques.

Duties include

• Promotion of Company 10 Golden Rules Safety principles
• Ensure work is carried out in accordance with relevant Regulations, Codes, Standards and Procedures
• Report progress status to the line and function reporting lines on a daily basis
• Maintain and develop current awareness of Codes and Standards
• Carry out the QA/QC activities as detailed in the Project Management System Framework.
• Maintain Project Management System Framework and associated development activities.
• Develop and implement a quality audits schedule.
• Support quality inspection personnel to identify and achieve quality requirements.
• Support procurement personnel in the supply of packages, including, input to orders, kick off meetings and delivery.
• Assist in the coordinate resolution of the Independent Verification Body queries and collate associated records.
• Assist the coordination of regulatory compliance assurance in accordance with the Project Permits and Consents Plan, Specifications, Designs and National and International Standards.
• Facilitate the implementation and coordinate project completion process. #Promote and support Asset Integrity Assurance.

Education, Experience, Technical Qualifications:

• Sound secondary education
• Good communication skills
• Brownfield engineering experience in the UK Sector of The North Sea
• Have knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 quality system requirements and implementation.
• Have a demonstrated background and thorough knowledge of codes of International standards such as EEMUA, AWS,ISO, ASNT, NACE, API, ASME, NORSOK in the discipline of their expertise
• Be fully conversant with applicable industry standards, specifications, and fabrication methods and shall perform a variety of inspection functions with minimal supervision as required to verify compliance with requirements.

Candidate Profile:

• Have a track record of involvement in projects at a similar phase of maturity, size and complexity.
• Suitably experienced and qualified in a relevant discipline
• Detailed working knowledge and proven abilities in application of National and International codes and standards
• The successful candidate should also possess familiarity with fabrication and construction practices of major oil companies working in a Brownfield project
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and work with other team members to meet project milestones
• Able to work in the surroundings of a major construction site and associated health, safety and environmental practice
• Good communicator with good interpersonal and team skills
• Good time and task management
• Professional attitude, highly motivated, self reliant and confident
• Willingness to share knowledge
• Needs to adapt to flexible practices to ensure inspection activities are sufficiently covered
• Working knowledge of computerised systems and word processing and presentation packages
