The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
A new opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer - Assurance, Interface and Risk based in Perth on a contract basis.

Reporting to the AIR Manager the role will be responsible for supporting the Upstream Project assurance, interface management and risk management activities including:

• AIR team capability development support
• Upstream Project Management support
• Assurance Management activities (including Lessons Learned)
• Interface Management (Company and Contractor Interfaces) activities
• Interface Management Coordination (Third Party and Joint Venture) activities
• Risk Management activities

The candidates must support and comply with the company's IIF (incident and injury free) and OE culture and will need to plan and lead relevant events/workshops (to the appropriate scope area); communicate effectively with management and personnel within the Upstream Project Team; support wider AIR Team delivery requirements.

FUNCTIONS:

- Support and reinforce the Wheatstone commitment to Incident and Injury Free (IIF) through active participation in Company Behavioural Based Safety (BBS) program and Operational Excellence (OE) requirements

AIR Team Capability Development/Upstream Project Management Support:
• Complete AIR Team activities as required (Offsites, OETs)
• Implement Upstream Project Management activities as required
• Provide support and leave as workloads require

- Delivery of a relevant scope activity (Assurance, Interface Management, Risk Management, Third Party and Joint Venture Interface Management Coordination Support) in line with Candidate Capability as required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum 7 years experience in engineering and/or related business role (eg, interface management, risk management, assurance management or audit)
Degree qualified (Engineering or Business)
Ideally, candidates will have experience in Oil & Gas or other Engineering/Project delivery roles and be able to demonstrate strong capability in one or more of the following disciplines:
• Project Assurance Management (could include Audit experience) capability
• Project Interface Management with direct experience in either: o Company to Contractor and/or Contractor to Contractor technical interface management o Company to Third Party organisations and/or Joint Venture Participants interface management
• Project Risk Management capability
• Generic Project Coordination Support activities
From a competency perspective candidates must have:
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with demonstrable experience communicating with Senior Management and a wide range of project/contr

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel, Word and Powerpoint).
• Experience with Sharepoint and/or other workplace collaboration tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills – demonstrated experience communicating with Senior Management and effectively liaising/coordinating with “external parties”.
• Facilitation skills related to running assurance, interface management, risk management events
