The Role:
The role of Project Engineer (Automated Weather Observing System) will be based in Baku, Azerbaijan on a residential basis.
•This position is open to lead the Engineering work of Automated Weather Observation System (AWOS) project.
•The AWOS project involves installation of advanced weather monitoring equipment at a number of different onshore and offshore locations located within Azerbaijan and Georgia.
•The successful candidate will be responsible for project engineering work of AWOS throughout planning, procurement, installation and commissioning of the AGT regional systems
•Responsible for the overall engineering work of the Automated Weather Observation Systems (AWOS) project.
•Creates and control necessary project engineering documentation.
•Analyses AWOS project engineering and technical scope and to define project plan and deliverables.
•Coordinate day-to-day engineering activity of the AWOS project and scope.
•Monitors project engineering progress against performance baselines and takes action as required where deviations exist.
•Coordination engineering related tasks as appropriate to project team, vendors and functional tags.
•Conducts Risk Reviews - Minimizes exposure and risk on the project.
•Ensures project engineering documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
•Coordinates required Management of Change and Control of Work processes to implement elements of AWOS project on all affected sites.
•Coordinate technical acceptance of AWOS system at SAT / FAT and gains sign off from appropriate Technical Authorities.
•Works closely with IT&S FDI, OCT and Asset Engineering teams to get required input, to enable review and approval of Technical Documentation for the project
•Develops a cutover plan from old to new system showing how it may be phased to minimise loss of coverage.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Minimum of a Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant project engineering experience
•Knowledge of Automated Weather Observation System ( AWOS ) Specifications and Compliance documents of UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA-UK) and US Department of Transport Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
•Strong track record of leadership in HSSE
•Minimum of 5 years’ experience in brownfield projects management
•3+ years small capital project management experience required.
