The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position Description:
Engineering Specialist; for the development and integration of Safety Component Systems on new model programmes. Particularly Steering Wheels & Drivers Air bags

Skills Required:
3 KE Y SKILLS Proven Project management delivery capability, demonstrated by recent delivery of multiple projects on time & budget. Engineering knowledge of Body Engineering Disciplines such as, component design, functional, performance, production & manufacturing requirements. Significant experience in the use of engineering quality tools such as, FMEA, 8D problem resolution etc.

Experience Required:
PC Literacy: Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word etc. Previous experience working on Automotive Safety Systems Knowledge of vehicle level safety requirements Experience of film analysis and data interpretation CAD Literacy, ability to manipulate and interrogate CAD data and use associated visualisation tools. Ability to generate CAD data in Catia v5 would be an advantage. Six Sigma tools and techniques Working in a Product Development environment, with responsibility for component/system design, part release, testing and sign off.

Experience Preferred:

Ability to generate CAD data in Catia v5 would be an advantage. ¿Knowledge of Electrical systems ¿ Significant experience in use of engineering tools ¿ FMEA, Six Sigma, problem resolution etc. ¿Any person supplied should have a valid UK driving licence and meet the medical requirements of J&LR facilities ¿Working knowledge of project delivery processes ¿ GPDS / FPDS / PRINCE2 or similar ¿Working knowledge of change management processes

Education Preferred:
Ideally degree educated.

May require travel to other sites during launch periods
