The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
SCG Project Engineer - Will be allocated either to programme delivery and core engineering activities

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Engineering working knowledge of Safety Component / restraint system design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements (e.g. seat belt systems, airbag systems and steering wheels)
* Technical understanding of safety components / restraints vehicle system integration to support vehicle crash targets
* Proven engineering Project management capability, demonstrated by recent delivery on time & budget.
* Excellent communications skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels
* PC Literacy (Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word etc.)
* Experienced ideally within the automotive sector or adjacent industries (e.g. rail, aerospace, defence, energy etc.)
* Ideally degree educated in a relevant engineering discipline

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* CAD Literacy - ability to manipulate and interrogate CAD data and use associated visualisation tools. Ability to generate CAD data in Catia v5 would be an advantage.
* Knowledge of Electrical systems
* Significant experience in use of engineering tools - DFMEA, Six Sigma, 8D, problem resolution etc.
* Working knowledge of project delivery processes - GPDS / PCS / PRINCE2 or similar
* Working knowledge of engineering change management processes
* Working knowledge of JLR (or legacy Ford) development processes (e.g. AIMS, WERS, etc.)

Any person supplied should have a valid UK driving licence and meet the medical requirements of J&LR facilities
