The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Body Engineering Project Engineer - Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) / Launch Engineer - Halewood Key Responsibilities: Support delivery of quality scorecard objectives. Analysis of customer data, predominantly using PAWS. Support of engineering related projects to resolution using a structured approach to derive an engineering solution. Lead work-streams with suppliers to develop engineering changes to the product, managing the complete workload from customer symptom to engineering release. This includes tooling costing and feasibility assessments, manufacturing feasibility, engineering validation through line trails and testing, and overall business case justification. Issue management using the AIMS system Coach and work with suppliers to achieve quality targets following the Body engineering supplier quality process. Presentations as required to forums such as PCPA, PIC reviews, VQR and launch reviews. Lead activities throughout launch of "in cycle" product model year changes for Halewood product lines. Lead activities to engage with core product development Body Engineering teams, working to deliver final data judgement deliverables. Includes virtual build, prototype build, BoM validation, AIMS/Release progress and review of key component commodity plans. Support and lead problem solving and issue identification during pre-production builds Support High Hurt Quality Focus activities as defined by the Programme team, including E-Cube maturation & Customer Driven Vehicle Requirements (CDVR) delivery Support coordination of PSW delivery within Body engineering to support launch objectives. Implement WERS ALERTs, In Process Containments (IPC) and Rework Instructions (RIS) as required, to support product launch. Good communication and networking with PD functions, Suppliers, Plant and PVT is essential. Support activities in tracking homologation and certification requirements during launch and ensure all new components are ""market ready".

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience of data analysis and/ or statistical techniques, preferably six-sigma Green Belt trained. Knowledge of quality data systems, including AWS, PAWS, CQI and JD Powers. Knowledge of systems such as WERS and AIMS. High level of IT literacy. Proven ability to manage multiple assignments and projects. Committed, self motivated and ability to deliver under pressure with minimal supervision. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to enable communication across all levels of the business. PVT and Launch Halewood Body Engineering PVT and Launch is part of the Body Engineering Quality and programme teams within Product Development. The successful candidate will be required to have full flexibility to switch between the two roles as determined by workload and cycle plan requirements. Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Six Sigma Green Belt & Structured Problem Solving preferred. Experience of working within a Manufacturing Plant during new product launch phases with experience of implementation of validated engineering solutions. Qualified to Degree level in an engineering discipline.
