The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
- The successful candidate will be responsible for progressing wheel design from concept to production.
- To support component Module Technical Teams to ensure that project build and gateway requirements are achieved on time.
- Manage component WERS releasing.
- Facilitate problem resolution and champion wheel owned AIMs.
- Support the creation of technical specifications, development plans etc.
- Creating and evaluating engineering sign-off plans, development plans, design specifications and drawings as appropriate.
- Liaising with suppliers and the Company's cross functional teams to define targets and ensure that components perform to requirements.
- Apply quality methods and tools to component delivery e.g. FMEA.
- Reporting key issues to both the Chassis & programme management teams.
- Use a structured approach to resolving issues, ensuring that the resources of the Module Technical Team are effectively engaged.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Use of Company processes including WERS releasing, AIM, APQP, GPDS, FMEA, DVP&R, eFDVS & RMDV.
- Ability to develop engineering solutions which meet defined targets.
- Ability to evaluate the performance and merits of designs from suppliers or service partners to ensure that Company requirements are satisfied.
- Self motivated, able to achieve results with minimal supervision.
- Good team working, organisation and communication skills, able to foster good working relationships with Purchasing/ STA and suppliers.
- Full driving licence.
- Good PC skills, proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be flexible with regard to multi site working and be prepared to travel abroad if required.
- Good presentation skills to represent wheel group within the project/program and senior review forums.
- Wheel design, development and delivery from with the automotive industry.
- Good knowledge and understanding of low pressure die casting.
