The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Project/System engineer. The key responsibilities are design, development and delivery of Air suspension systems componentry, Air spring, Air pipes, Valve Block, Reservoirs, Air Compressor systems. For model year updates and new programs, TVM and quality projects

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Proven experience of component and system delivery within the automotive or similar industry Management of component/system delivery including supplier management, cost management, DVP, project control, Supplier management .
Experience of WERS release system, GPDS/PCS knowledge/ Build and Launch preferable but not necessary.
A proven approach to achieving quality objectives through the application of design quality tools FMEA/8Ds etc.
PC literate (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc).
Must have a good rounded knowledge of both mechanical systems
Strong organisational and planning skills.
Must be good at working within a team environment & working with a cross functional team of Designers, internal / external Engineers and Specialists
Must be able to work under own initiative and have a proactive approach to delivery and problem resolution.
Must have a working knowledge of engineering disciplines that can be applied to the business models.
Have a proven record of delivering co

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience of Chassis systems, or extensive Automotive experience having worked supporting both design and manufacturing functions.
A working knowledge of component manufacture, tooling requirements and lead times would be a distinct advantage.
Be responsible for delivering design solutions to program targets and company standards.
A strong track record of delivering design to timing, weight and cost targets.
A good disciplined approach to documentation.
