The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The Chassis Fixings team are responsible for the robust sign-off, including test and validation, of all chassis joints and torque specifications. We are involved in specifying joints from concept, through detail design and provide significant support to manufacturing to ensure robust delivery of the torque specification for assembly process development.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive the delivery of robust joints and torque specifications on behalf of Chassis.
Lead report-outs to cover all Chassis Fixings.
Planning, tracking and completing required assessments to meet virtual series timings and release timings.
Supporting the physical build releases.
Working with Technical Specialist, Fixings Analysts and Component Lead Engineers to optimise the joint sizes
Support process improvements within the team

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Proven ability to deliver; define a plan, monitor progress, exceed customer expectations
Ability to negotiate and influence other areas effectively to achieve the best outcome for the business.
Highly effective communication and team working skills across a range of functions/forums
Proven problem solving skills use of DMAIC tools preferable
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; excel, power point, etc
Knowledge of chassis systems
Knowledge of joint detail design and process robustness
One of the following:- Engineering Degree - Significant experience in joint design and fixings (minium of HNC/D)

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge of WERS and AIMS systems.
