The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Working on Air Suspension, ARC & eDamping systems for Current & future vehicles. Due to the complexity of the systems and the interactions with the vehicle, (primarily, electrical, body & suspension inputs) it is necessary that we objectively investigate the performance of the components & systems to ensure they are working as designed & modelled. This includes ensuring the functionality of of all key SST Active components (eg. compressors, valve blocks etc.) & the complete systems on vehicles and also on component function rigs as necessary. This includes the investigation and logging of performance including response times, current draws, running speeds, valve responses & NVH etc. to ensure they are operating as designed and that there are no adverse interactions within the systems or with other vehicle systems e.g. electrical/electronics. Where either component interaction issues or component performance issues are found it will be necessary to thoroughly investigate the issue inc. data logging etc. to enable a robust understanding of the issue in support of an accurate root cause definition. Additionally, support of manufacturing & service issues will be required to ensure that there are no adverse system interactions through the Manufacturing process and to ensure capability of performance as vehicles are 'Passed to Sales' at Solihull.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
1. Have a good technical understanding of ARC, Air Suspension and/or edamping, or be able to demonstrate that they have a good understanding of similar systems.
2. Must be familiar with instrumentation & objectively testing components and systems, together with an understanding of different measurement techniques.
3. PC literate (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc)
4. Must have a good rounded knowledge of both mechanical & electrical systems.
5. Must be good at working within a team environment & working with component engineers & vehicle development engineers.
6. Strong organisation and planning skills
7. Must have Air Suspension or similar system experience
8. Must be competent in dealing with both Mechanical & Electrical systems
9. Must be experience in the use & setting up of instrumentation
10. Minimum of HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
