The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Senior Project Engineer/ Project Manager - Stability Control Systems (SCS) Functions with a stronge Applications Engineering background. The role will report to the Group Leader to contribute to the development and application of specific functions within the Brakes Stability Control System Modulator for Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles. This role will involve the testing & development of systems in various locations within the UK & overseas.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Ability to define, develop and tune Stability Control System based functions (such as ABS, DSC and TCS) drive torque distribution systems for vehicle dynamics performance, off road functions and customer convenience functions that principally use driveline and braking torque management using both virtual and empirical methods.
Supporting the creation of technical specifications, development plans etc.
Sign off of systems and creation of sign off reports.
Liaison with other process partners including Design, Purchase & Project Management Team.
Experience in Matlab/Simulink and a willingness to learn other CAE packages.
Self motivated and able to work to a high standard with minimum supervision.
Excellent communication skills.
Knowledge of antilock brake and other electronic slip control systems would be advantageous.
Experience of developing vehicles in an off road environment.
Experience of Powertrain and/or Transmission calibration would be advantageous.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Advanced high dynamic driving skills.
Experience in high performance driving - possibly in a motor sports environment
Post graduate experience in a similar role for an automotive OEM or 1st tier supplier
