The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Project engineer to facilitate delivery of wheels and tyres system with potential to aid in the progression of wheels and tyres research projects with specific reference to low rolling resistance rugged tyres , intelligent tyres, and light weight road wheel construction.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Candidates must have a good command of written and oral English with good communication skills, and should be fully IT literate, a knowledge of CATIA V5 would be an advantage although not essential.
Candidates on occasions should be prepared to present technical issues to senior management within the company.
Experience preferably of wheels and tyres systems from within an OE automotive environment or other areas of Chassis engineering .
Candidates having relevant experience in mechanical engineering and inexperience self motivated graduates willing and capable to learn quickly may also be considered.
HNC, HND, Degree, Mechanical, Automotive, Aeronautical engineering.
Alternatively membership of a recognised professional engineering instituition, chartered engineer. English language ("O"level, GCSE grade C or higher

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge of systems CAD Catia V5.
Knowledge of systems FMEA application. Automotive rig test of mechanical systems. Vehicle testing. Programme management. Research experience and report writing
