The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The Function Definer for SCS Functions team will be required to: ¿ Create and cascade customer and system level requirement within JLR and to Suppliers. ¿ Create technical specifications and driving manoeuvres. ¿ Liaising and building relationships with the system supplier to ensure that the supplier¿s systems meet Jaguar Land Rover requirements. ¿ Support studies into new technologies and techniques. ¿ Liaison with other JLR process partners including Hybrids, Power Train, Vehicle Dynamics, Electrical, Manufacturing etc

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree level knowledge of Control systems and Systems Engineering.
Excellent team-working, organisation and communication skills.
Self-motivated and able to work to a high standard with minimum supervision.
Candidates must be committed, flexible and able to work under pressure and beyond normal working hours when required.
Good PC skills MS Office suite and project planning tools as well as an ability to learn new specific analysis packages
This role may be suitable for recent graduates in Electronic or Systems engineering who has an interest in automotive engineering.
Alternatively a mechanical or automotive engineer with post graduate experience in systems engineering may be appropriate.
Degree in Electronic or Systems Engineering or Mechanical / Automotive engineering with significant Systems Engineering experience

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge of Stability Control Systems and other Chassis Systems.
Vehicle Dynamics knowledge.
Strong working knowledge of Control Systems theory
Experience of DOORS Requirements tool.
Full driving licence
