The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of engineers strongly focussed on the delivery of braking system mechanical components for future Jaguar and Land Rover vehicle programmes. The team works closely with a range of suppliers in the UK and further afield. To lead the design and delivery of all aspects of the foundation brakes components on the allocated programme or platform. The Lead Engineer will work with the component delivery engineers to deliver the technical and gateway deliverables on a Jaguar Land Rover brakes programmes Key Responsibilities Leading the multi-functional Jaguar Land Rover team to deliver: Supplier sourcing JLR management & Supplier programme status reporting Issue management & resolution Engineering design release Delivery of component PPAP Brake system launch into volume production.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Proven multi-disciplinary technical team leadership Strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills able to confidently present project status reports to supplier and internal senior teams. ¿ Knowledge of automotive chassis systems. Comprehensive ability to work with MS Office applications and manage large numbers of records in different formats. Ability to work in fast paced environment Full UK driving license for Cat B vehicles Key Word Search Criteria Engineering Supplier management. Experience of the mechanical design of Chassis components & Systems Experience of cost reduction in an automotive environment Knowledge of product development processes Knowledge of APQP, WERS, eFDVS and other Quality Tools Knowledge of the use of CAE techniques in an engineering context Knowledge of the 6-Sigma process ¿Green Belt qualified"
