The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The Chassis SST group is primarily responsible for developing and delivering features such as, Air Suspension, Damping, Active Roll Control and Active Suspension, the work covers all aspects of the design from requirements to full implementation. The role with require the successful candidate to work in the following areas and will be supporting the development current and future electronic / software based vehicle suspension control systems. Follow development processes Clear documentation of all work carried Good understanding of vehicle electrical / electronic systems Understanding of vehicle chassis systems Liaise with Chassis Electronics on electrical and control requirements and developments Ability to install and debug prototype controllers, sensors and actuators Build and test specialized wiring harnesses ¿ Design & build tests boxes to support vehicle work and bench testing of chassis control systems ¿ Create rapid controller prototyping models for prototype function development Ability to analytically debug vehicle electrical system using CAN based tools and electrical measurement techniques Ability to analytically debug Simulink control models in desktop and dSpace rapid prototyping environments Testing of control functions in vehicle and on test rigs

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Systematic problem solving abilities Ability to subjectively and objectively define noise and vibration issues and correlate to customer expectations. NVH Hydraulic and pneumatic systems knowledge Basic control theory knowledge Knowledge of vehicle networking Understand applicable modeling techniques Competent Matlab and Simulink/Sateflow user Competent dSpace/Rapid Controller Prototyping user CANape & CANalyser knowledge Good communication skill PC literate, Excel.
HND or Degree in Electrical / Electronic or Control Engineering
Minimum of 5 years experience of vibration / NVH engineering. Experienced in using industry standard instrumentation and tools (LMS Test Lab, Bruel & Kjaer and Matlab etc.) Project engineering skills (timing plans, work instructions, costing, reporting, data presentation, health & safety). Strong organisation and planning skills Team working "
