The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Module Planner - The role will primarily be to support the D7u (Range Rover / Sport etc) Steering, wheels and Tyres Platform Module Leader as due to the success of D7u platform work load is increasing with model year updates planned for (15-18MY) and new Programmes being approved based on the D7u platform. Formally reporting to one of the Group Leaders within SW&T and day to day co-ordination to the D7u Module Leader the successful candidate¿s core role will be: Assist Module Leader for each Programme within D7u platform to ensure successful project gateway planning and compliance. Prepare delivery status reports (weekly) for RMDV (Requirements Management & Design Verification), Virtual Series etc. Manage / Maintain active control of project prototype expenditure and Design and development budgets. Co-ordinate Prototype Bill of Material (BOM) validation events Rework Instruction Sheets planning, co-ordination, and representation at meetings. Monitor and support control of Module cost and weight status and representation at Meetings.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Self motivated, able to achieve results with minimal supervision and able to work under pressure. Able to react to changing priorities, able to communicate changing priorities clearly to other team members. Basic understanding of Engineering principles, preferably with experience of working in an Automotive Industry. Basic understanding of Automotive Project timing and Gateway disciplines, preferred but not essential. Good team working, organisation and communication skills, able to foster good working relationships with Engineers / Purchasing / Programme teams. Good PC skills, proficient with Microsoft Office applications, Google Mail, calendar and documents. Working knowledge of JLR processes including WERS releasing, AIMs, APQP, GPDS, DVP&R, eFDVS & RMDV engineering disciplines would be an advantage however this is not mandatory. - Project Management - A proven track record in delivering results in both favourable and unfavourable conditions.
Chassis experience.
