The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Key Responsibilities & Tasks: -
* Lead the design of components for a new Suspension System.
* Develop the geometric design of components to integrate into a vehicle package by working closely with other engineering teams.
* Develop the design of components for industrialisation by working closely with suppliers.
* Manage supplier and JLR validation activities for the components.
* Support the System Engineer in the use of Quality Tools for Failure Mode Avoidance.
* Complete engineering release (design, cost, timing) of components for approval.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Minimum of 2 years experience working as a Design Engineer within the Automotive Industry.
* Proven knowledge of Suspension system design.
* Self motivated and capable of working independently.
* Educated to degree level.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Competent in the use of CATIA v6.
* Proficient in Matlab data analysis techniques.
* Able to use functional CAE tools for vehicle and component analysis.
