The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The research project into offset barrier impact requires the support of a lead engineer from the Suspension Links team. In this role the candidate will be responsible for the support of the project and delivery of all technical tasks allocated associated with the suspension structures.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Automotive engineering design experience/development Track record of successful project management and on time delivery
* Proven ability to deliver; define a plan, monitor progress, exceed customer expectations
* Ability to negotiate and influence other areas effectively to achieve the best outcome for the business
* Highly effective communication and team working skills across a range of functions/forums
* Proven problem solving skills, use of DMAIC tools preferable
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; excel, power point, etc.
* HNC/D or equivalent automotive experience in the above field

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Design experience of cast and/forged aluminium and steel components - preferred
* Experience of Programme Management tools/Product Creation System (PCS) - preferred
* Current use of WERS, AIMS and other engineering delivery systems - preferred
* Working knowledge of Failure Mode Avoidance Quality tools - preferred
* Appropriate industry relevant Degree
