The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Working within the Advance Product Creation function, the Chassis APC programme team are responsible for leading all aspects of chassis content for new vehicle programmes (Pre-PS). As such we have a significant influence on the early stages of new programmes. Our aim is to ensure Delivery teams have the highest level of robustness at PS which enables aligned and efficient delivery to Job 1. As a Programme Leader (Project Engineer) you will have direct responsibility for leading chassis content of your programme (or programmes depending on scale) from initial concept through to PS. You will be expected to work collaboratively with the wider APC function, Vehicle Engineering, Programmes and Chassis Module Leaders/Technical Specialists. Your main objective will be to enable the business to understand feasibility and profitability for new programmes/studies through alignment across all stakeholders and delivery of targets, gateways and PS Handover. You will need to operate as `the voice of Chassis including at Compatibility and Manufacturing reviews as well as reporting status at a Senior level.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Understanding of vehicle architecture desirable, particularly chassis components within the following systems: Springs, Dampers & ARBs, Sub-frames and powertrain mounts, Suspension links and knuckles, Steering, Wheel & Tyres, Brakes. - Project management skills - alignment and control of costs and technical assumptions - Have a positive approach to finding solutions with a can-do attitude and be willing to question the `norm. - Ability to analyse information/data and present recommendation/conclusions concisely and to a senior audience. - Have a positive attitude and flexibility to adapt to fast-moving, changing requirements and priorities. - Have excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. - Highly motivated self-starter and good team player. - Must be IT literate (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
Experience in managing complex projects and delivering results through cross functional stakeholders.
Educated to degree level in Mechanical, Automotive or related engineering
